Expiration of Contract and FFIMI’s Stance – FFIMI firmly opposes the renewal of Wellpath’s contract, expiring in June 2024. Advocating for a more comprehensive and compassionate approach to mental health services, FFIMI urges policymakers to prioritize the well-being of individuals with severe mental illness and consider other options such as UMass Chan Medical School, Massachusetts Partnership for Correctional Health, or the Department of Mental Health as recipients of this important new contract.
As the contract expiration date approaches, FFIMI remains committed to ensuring individuals with severe mental illness receive the care they deserve, fostering a more humane prison environment.
