New MassHealth Stakeholder Group for Justice-Involved: Community Feedback Forum for Health & Justice

Exciting news– EOHSS just released a Notice calling for applications to serve on a new stakeholder advisory council, the Community Feedback Forum for Health & Justice. This group will advise MassHealth on the pending 1115 Demonstration and its proposal to cover health services 90 days before release. This is an exciting opportunity for justice-involved individuals to use their voice and unique perspective to participate in MassHealth decision-making and advocate for policies that help incarcerated individuals in Massachusetts.

They are looking for 13 individuals to serve on the Community Feedback Forum. Individuals with lived experience of incarceration in a Massachusetts facility are strongly encouraged to apply. MassHealth will pay council members with lived experience $100 per meeting, as long as their employer isn’t already paying for them to participate in the group. Family members/guardians of incarcerated individuals as well as community groups working with justice-involved folks are also asked to apply.

To apply, you need to submit a nomination form and a letter of reference to Amy Butcher at amy.butcher@mass.govThe deadline to apply is 4PM on March 8, 2024, and successful candidates will be notified by March 30, 2024. More information on applying can be found here.
